Rolwaling Trekking

Rolwaling trekking to Rolwaling Himal, west of Everest and near the Tibetan border, offers fascinating experience. The trail starts from Singati and goes down the Bhotekosi River and turns into the Rollwaling valley, one of the most distant, secret, and amusing places in the trek. High waterfalls poured from the heights and rudimentary bridges traversed the many tributaries. Ahead, the twin summits of Gauri Shanker grants an outstanding attraction, previously considered as the world's highest summit. Rolwaling Khumbu trek gives an experience of panoramic mountain views, miscellaneous flora and fauna with affluent local cultures. This trek needs an excellent walking skill and a healthy bodily structure. Tashi Lepcha pass offers the vista of the great Himalayan Shangri-la like Cho-Oyu, Everest, Nuptse and Makalu. Mt. Gaurishankar (7,145m), Melungtse (7,181m) and many other mountain pinnacles. The village of Beding (3,690m) and monastery, the village of Na (4,183m), Tso Rolpa Lake, are the major magnetism in the region.

The Rolwaling Valley is supposed to be the home of the notorious Yeti. The land is full of the tales of the yeti, the elusive snow man in the world and it is the place where some mountaineers arranged expedition to hunt yetis in the past. Beding is the last permanent settlement & Na Gaun which is only the summer settlement, is the highest elevation reached in the trek Rolwaling Himal hidden between precipitous ice giants. The valley comes up to the pleasant terraced foothills of Tamang and Chhetri villages. The vicinity is just to the south of the Tibetan boarder thus traditions in the area are alike to the Tibetan culture. After passing the Tashi Lapcha pass we forwards to Lukla through Thame and Namche.
