 The ultimate challenge is the trek
across Cho La Pass (5,330m), which takes
18-21 days and covers both the Gokyo
Lake area and the Everest Base Camp.
There are some short and interesting
"climbs" of Gokyo Ri, Chukkung Ri and
Kalapatthar for the classic views
icefalls and glaciers of Mahalangur
Himalayan range which comprises of five
major 8000+ m. peaks - Everest, Cho O
Yu, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar and Makalu. |

Program Itinerary (20 Days) |
Days 01 :
Up on arrival in Kathmandu a representative will
meet you at the airport and transfer you to your
Hotel. |
Days 02 :
Early morning transfer to airport for flight to
Lukla (2,840 m). Meet with your sirdar and the rest of the
crew. Trek to Phakding 2,610 m). |
Days 03 :
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). |
Days 04 :
Namche Bazaar rest and acclimatization. |
Days 05 :
Trek to Khumjung (3,780m). |
Days 06 :
Trek to Dole (4,200 m). |
Days 07 :
Trek to Machharmu (4,440m). |
Days 08 :
Trek to Gokyo (4,790 m). |
Days 09 :
Rest and acclimatization. |
Days 10 :
Trek to Chola La (5,330m). |
Days 11 :
Trek to Dzonglha (4,830 m) |
Days 12 :
Trek to Lobuje (4,910m). |
Days 13 :
Trek to Gorak Shep (5140 m). |
Days 14 :
Trek to Kala Pathar (5,550 m) - Everest Base Camp
(5,364 m) and back to Lobuje |
Days 15 :
Trek to Pangboche (3930 m). |
Days 16 :
Trek to Nache Bazar. |
Days 17 :
Trek to Lukla along the gorge of the Dudh Kosi to
the small mountain airstrip at Lukla to catch your
return flight to Kathmandu. Weather permitting your
trekking crew might prepare a farewell treat for
you. You would be expected to join in the singing
and the dancing!
Day 18: Flight back to Kathmandu at the airport
transfer to the Hotel. A free afternoon in Kathmandu |
Days 19 :
These are "cushion" days in case bad weather or
other circumstances delay your return to Kathmandu.
Otherwise, they can be used for sightseeing around
Kathmandu valley or free for shopping days. O/N
