TILICHO PASS

From Khansar we will continue our journey towards Tilicho base camp.  We will reach Tilicho base camp after walking 7 hours. Here we have to stay overnight at tented camp/lodge. Next day morning we will walk towards high camp, on the way we will explore Tilicho lake (5200 m) (highest lake in the world) surrounded by Annapurna range. After walking 8 hours we will reach high camp, here we will stay at tented camp. Next day morning we will walk towards Yak Kharka after crossing Tilicho Pass.

Day 01:   Kathmandu
After arrival in Kathmandu airport we will transfer to hotel.

Day 02:   Kathmandu - Beshi Sahar (823m) - Bhulbhule (840 m):
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule via Besisahar. It takes seven to eight hours to reach Bhulbhule by bus. Overnight at hotel/ lodge in Bhulbhule.

Day 03:   Bhulbhule - Chamje (1430m.) 7/8 hours.
Having breakfast at Bhulbhule, we commence our trek to Chamje. Lunch will be served on the way. En route, we would trek along the steep and slippery trail running through paddy fields, trail ascends through the rhododendron forest to Chamje. Over night at Lodge.  

Day 04:   Chamje - Dharapani (1860m.) 6/7 hours.
We trek from Chamje to Dharapani. The path goes along the river through bamboo groves. We would also cross barley and potato fields at Dharapani at Lodge.

Day 05:   Dharapani - Chame (2670m.) 5/6 hours.
After one hour trek we will be at Bagarchhap where we can visit the Tibetan Monastery Bagarchhap and view Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. The trail climbs along the mule track through pine and fir forest and then follows the river for a time amongst the higher oak and maple trees. Stay over night at Lodge.

Day 06:   Chame - Pisang (3200m.) 5/6 hours.
The trail follows through the river valley, stay at Pisang with panoramic view of Pisang peak and Annapurna 2.Over night at Lodge.

Day 07:   Pisang - Manang (3540m.) 5/6 hours
Walk through the fields of grazing Yak and a wide variety of crops. This large Tibetan Nepali settlement provides good views of Annapurna 2, 3, 4 & Gangapurna.Over night at Lodge

Day 08:   Acclimatization at Manang (3540m.)
This is a rest day to acclimatize to the higher altitude. Time to visit monasteries, take advice from Himalayan Rescue Association and observe the spectacular views from the Himalaya. Lodge.

Day 09:   Manang - Khangsar (3734m.) 3/4 hours
This day we will walk through straight trail, after walking  3/4  hours we will reach Khangsar. Overnight at lodge

Day 10:   Khangsar - Tilicho Base Camp (4150m.) 5/6 hours
This day we will walk for about 5/6 hours to reach Tilicho Base Camp, this trail is little zigzag, also there are chances of occurring landslide sometimes. Overnight stay at lodge or tented camp/lodge.

Day 11:   Tilicho Base Camp – High Camp (5100m.) 6/7 hours
This day we will walk towards High Camp. We can reach high Camp within 6/7 hours if we are in good health. We will ascend towards Tilicho lake. Overnight at tented camp

Day 12:   High Camp – Yak Kharka (3600m.) 8/9 hours
Early morning we will walk towards Yak Kharka after crossing (5340m). From where we can see beautiful views of Jomsom village, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Himlung himal, Lamjung himal, impressive Nilgiri himal and many more.  This day we have to walk for about 8/9 hours. We will walk steep downwards towards Yak Kharka crossing small jungles. Overnight at tented camp   

Day 13:   Yak Kharka – Marpha (2670m) 6/7 hours.  
This day we will walk towards Jomsom through Thini Village. We will walk 3/4 hours to reach Jomsom. After having lunch we will continue our journey towards Marpha. After walking 2 hours we will reach Marpha. Overnight at lodge.

Day 14:   Marpha – Ghasa (2010m) 6/7 hours
We start our journey towards Lete. We cross between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain range, from where we can see panoramic views of Tukuche Peak, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Pisang peak. We will slightly descend towards Ghasa. After walking 1 and half hour we will reach Ghasa.  Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 15:   Ghasa - Tatopani (1190m) 6/ 7 hours
We descend gently towards Tatopani it will take 6/ 7 hours walk to reach Tatopani. This day we will walk along the Kaligandaki river, we will see world’s deepest gorge which is known as Kaligandaki Gorge, This gorge is formed between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range. Overnight at lodge.

Day 16:   Tatopani – Ghorepani (2750m) 8/9
This day we have to be prepared for long and little hard walk. We ascend towards Ghorepani from Tatopani it will take 8/ 9 hours walk to reach Ghorepani, on the way we will see scenic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri, Tukuche peak, Annapurna south, Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Fishtail, Lamjung Himal and many more mountains. Overnight at Ghorepani.

Day 17:   Ghorepani – Poon Hill (3200m) – Hille (1475m)
Early in the morning we will walk one and half hour to reach Poon Hill from Ghorepani, from where we will see beautiful panoramic views of whole Annapurna range including Dhaulagiri and also we will enjoy beautiful view of sunrise. After around one hour we will return to Ghorepani for breakfast and descend towards Tikhedhunga or Hile, we will walk 4 or 5 hours to reach Tikhedhunga or Hile. Overnight at Tikhedhunga or Hille.

Day 18:   Hille – Nayapul – Pokhara
After breakfast we will descend gently towards Nayapul after walking 3 to 4 hours. After reaching Nayapul we will hire a taxi to Pokhara. It will take one and half hour by taxi to reach Pokhara. Overnight at O/N at hotel.

Day 19:   Pokhara – Kathmandu
There is flight to Kathmandu after every half and hour. We will have enough time to explore around Pokhara.  Afternoon fly to Kathmandu, It will take 25 minutes flight form Pokhara to reach Kathmandu. Otherwise we can drive by tourist bus which will take 7/ 8 hours to reach Kathmandu, O/N at hotel.

Day 20:   Kathmandu
This day we will have a free day for shopping and other activities such as Kathmandu city sightseeing etc. Overnight at hotel.  

Day 21:   Final departure
Transfer to international airport and fly to your destination.

Note: The itinerary can be customized according to your duration of holiday. Similarly hotel can be upgraded or downgraded depending on your requirement.
